The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Make the Connection observe Mental Health Month every May to help Veterans recognize their challenges, tap into their own resiliency, and find inspiration in their fellow Veterans’ stories.

Each year, a renewed campaign raises awareness about mental health challenges, treatment, and recovery; informs Veterans and their families about mental health resources; and encourages Veterans and their families or friends to reach out for support whenever they need it.

VA’s 2020 Mental Health Month campaign — Now Is the Time — emphasized making mental health a priority and encouraged Veterans to take a positive step toward a better tomorrow. The campaign’s splash page provided resources to support Veterans and their families or friends along their mental health journey.
