Through seeking help, you also gain a village of friends that will always lift you up.
Jo survived a terrorist attack during which she was separated from her teammates while treating other wounded service members. This caused her to develop anxiety and hypervigilance. After the Air Force Veteran returned home, she had trouble relating to her family and isolated herself. But with the support of women providers and a women’s therapy group, Jo reconnected with her family and rebuilt her life.
