Kevin developed chronic ringing in his ears after experiencing frequent missile firings while serving in an Army air defense artillery unit. He used drugs and alcohol in an attempt to cope, which led to addiction and several years of homelessness. Kevin received effective treatment at a detox center and now helps other Veterans by facilitating recovery groups for those experiencing substance use disorder.
