Chaunte finished active duty and began a civilian career, but discovered her coping mechanism from deployment—always keeping busy—was wearing her out. The superficial things her civilian friends cared about were unimportant to her and sometimes made her angry. Once she was able to connect with other Veterans, she found new ways to move forward.
