After returning home from Afghanistan, U.S. Navy Veteran Joey became irritable and didn’t like to be around other people. When his son began to be afraid of him, Joey took it as a wake-up call to get mental health support. By discussing his challenges during regular mental health check-ins at VA, Joey learned to manage his triggers and break a cycle of PTSD that began with his grandfather who served in World War II.
