Jordan was injured in a mortar attack during his deployment in the U.S. Army. After the injury separated him from his platoon, he felt useless and began drinking. When he left the service, Jordan experienced symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder before reaching out for help. Prolonged exposure therapy and discussing his challenges with a mental health professional helped him recover. Now Jordan helps other Veterans on their mental health journeys.
